Arconvert opens label converting facility in California

Arconvert, part of Fedrigoni Group, is a manufacturing company that produces a range of self-adhesive papers and films

Arconvert has directly entered the US market with the opening of a label converting facility in California.

Arconvert, part of Fedrigoni Group, is a manufacturing company that produces a range of self-adhesive papers and films for flexo and HP Indigo digital printing technologies. Its new full-service converting and sales facility, located outside of Los Angeles in Cerritos, will focus on label products for packaging in a variety of markets, including gourmet foods, wine and craft beverages, pharmaceutical, electronics and automotive.

Arconvert is a manufacturer of self-adhesive papers and films with three production facilities around the world in Italy, Brazil and Spain, serving a variety of industries including the food, textile, cosmetic, medical and electronic sectors. The company is also known for the Manter brand of luxury labeling products that are specifically designed for the wine and spirits market.

The new 62,000 sq ft plant and distribution center includes state of the art converting equipment, allowing Arconvert to serve the North American market with premium self-adhesive labelstock quickly and efficiently, according to Fedrigoni Group CEO Claudio Alfonsi, who added: ‘We are extremely pleased to introduce Arconvert and the Manter brand in the US.

‘We look forward to the opportunities this will create for the luxury packaging and labeling sectors.’

Pere Espelt, Arconvert commercial director, added: ‘With Arconvert’s established reputation for premium wine and spirit labels in the European market, this expansion puts us in an exciting position to introduce North America to the tremendous possibilities available with our products.’

The facility will be shared with fellow Fedrigoni Group company GPA, the only other member of the group with operations in North American, and its president and CEO Bob Niesen said: ‘We look forward to collaborating with them to ensure a smooth integration into our shared facility and support its success.’

Alon Bar-Shany, vice president and general manager of HP Indigo, identified the introduction of the Manter brand in North America as being of great benefit to HP Indigo customers and end users, who will gain from the, ‘vast array of impressive new products to select from.

‘This announcement supports the strong growth and opportunities within the labels and packaging market, especially as we prepare to launch the new 8000 label platform at drupa 2016,’ continued Bar-Shany. ‘As leaders in the digital printing world, HP and Fedrigoni Group have had a strong partnership, and Arconvert’s expansion into this new market will only help continue the growth of our relationship.’

Arconvert and its products will be on display at Dscoop in San Antonio, Texas from April 14-16, and at Labelexpo Americas 2016 in Chicago from September 13-15.
