Vinay Bhardwaj, vice president of flexible packaging and tobacco at Siegwerk India, has been appointed a board member of the All India Printing Ink Manufacturer’s Association (AIPIMA), an apex body for printing inks in India.

Bhardwaj is an industry veteran with over 25 years of experience in the packaging industry. He is currently the vice president of flexible packaging and tobacco at Siegwerk India, driving the flexible packaging division of the company since his joining over a year ago. He has an extensive experience in business development, business process reengineering and also is an expert in greenfield as well as mergers and acquisitions.

‘I am glad that I have the opportunity to be a part of AIPIMA and address some the key issues and challenges that the industry is facing,’ said Vinay Bhardwaj. ‘I am sure our industry will see a dramatic change in the coming years. The pandemic has affected every one of us and brought in many difficulties, however, I believe this is the right time to explore new opportunities to transform the industry. I will bat for the sustainable packaging solutions and help drive the safety and health agenda.’

‘It is indeed a pleasure that Vinay Bhardwaj will be playing an important role at AIPIMA as an industry representative,’ added Ashish Pradhan, president of Siegwerk India and Greater China. ‘I am confident that with his vast experience and commitment, Vinay will spearhead the importance of safe and sustainable packaging. Siegwerk is committed to guide and support the industry in India, especially the MSME sector during the transition to toluene-free inks for food packaging.’
