  • 25 May 2018 and Hochschule der Medien offer apprenticeship and Hochschule der Medien cooperate with software apprenticeship and Hochschule der Medien are working together in teaching and practical experience for students at the university, giving students the opportunity try and improve their theoretical knowledge in reality.

In line with the lecture production planning and controlling, an apprenticeship is offered in which the students are able to work with a demo version of the software C3.

The practical experience supports the planning process in a printing company and is an addition to the theoretical parts of the lecture.

Prof. Dr Ing. Witting, associate dean and professor of the lecture, recalls excitedly the feedback of the students: ‘The possibility to try out theoretical knowledge in a more practical context has made this course a highly sought-after offer.’

Outside of the general lectures plays a part at the HdM. CEO Tobias Theurer engages in the industrial advisory board and the company offers internships and topics for graduation papers.

Theurer is convinced of the benefits of the program: he students have shown a lot of interest in the possibilities our software offers and could learn about the importance of process stability and automatization.’

In line with the lectures the consultants give insights in the practice of consulting for the print and packaging industry. For the next term, a more detailed apprenticeship is planned in which the students can immerse themselves better and deeper in the software to get a better knowledge about the complexity and tasks it fulfills in a company.
