Vinsak to demonstrate two Lombardi production lines at Labelexpo India 2018

Vinsak is the exclusive representative of Lombardi flexo presses in India. At Labelexpo India 2018, an 8-color Lombardi Synchroline 430 will be equipped with Toro hot foiling system and hologram stamping flatbed unit, which can also be used for cutting and creasing carton boxes. An 8-color Lombardi Synchroline 530 includes an overlap unit that will run flexible packaging and three-layer labels popularly used for cosmetic and pharmaceutical packaging.

Alongside, Vinsak will demonstrate two new variants of its USAR range and an upgraded version of the reel lifter, VRL. Two UV inkjet systems will be seen adding variable data to security labels and a camera inspection system will demonstrate manufacturing of security labels.

The finishing of labels printed on the Lombardi presses will be supported by Vinsak’s USAR range. While one variant of USAR allows a standard rotary die-cutting unit for roll-to-roll labels to be installed with a sheet conveyor, the second variant is developed to slit lamitube materials and thin films. Built with a large size dual rewind, the system has lay-on rollers for each rewind along with the necessary static removal equipment to handle these products.

Ranesh Bajaj, director at Vinsak, said: ‘An integration with camera systems has also been developed for the second variant. Vinsak installed more than 25 USAR machines in 2018, of which eight were exported to packaging companies in the Middle East and Eastern Europe.’

VRL is a portable roll lifter equipped with safety brakes for loading, unloading and transporting rolls safely. A new higher capacity hoist and stronger frame designs have been developed to handle reels of up to 250kg in weight for 500mm width model, or up to 400kg of weight for a 1000mm width model.
