Jet Technologies to distribute Algae Black ink

Living Ink partnership brings carbon-negative pigment to the Australian market.

Living Ink Technologies has signed a distribution partnership with Jet Technologies, bringing the company's Algae Black carbon-negative pigment technology to the Australian food packaging, industrial manufacturing and print markets.

Algae Black is produced by transforming discarded biomass into pigment, offering an alternative to conventional petroleum-based carbon black for offset, UV offset and water-based flexo printing inks. Jet Technologies says the material delivers performance equivalent to conventional carbon black while reducing landfill waste and water use in production.

The partnership gives Australian converters and brands access to the renewable black ink technology without requiring changes to existing print workflows, according to the companies.

'Finding partners who share our vision for a lower-carbon future is everything,' said Scott Fulbright, CEO and co-founder of Living Ink. 'We're thrilled about our ongoing projects with Jet Technologies and look forward to driving meaningful change together.'
