Zeller+Gmelin is expanding its ink production site at Eislingen, Germany, by 2,000 square meters. There are plans for construction of a further production hall of 7.5m in height, which will include areas for storing raw materials and binding agents with an automatic dosing system as well as an area for the pre-dispersion of printing inks.

The core area of the new hall will be a new production line for low-migration inks. ‘We are seeing ourselves as pioneer in this field and are fully aware of our special responsibility,’ said Marcus Ruckstädter, sales manage, printing inks, at Zeller+Gmelin. ‘In 2006, we put one of the first low-migration UV inks on the market. We have gained very intensive and good experience so that now we can offer low-migration UV inks and UV lacquers for almost all applications.’

The completion of the new production hall is scheduled for spring 2012.
