Lauterbach Group buys Domino N610i
Lauterbach Group has invested in a Domino N610i UV inkjet printer as part of a program to revamp its services in order to ‘eliminate vulnerable moments’ in the label making process.

The Lauterbach Group is a labeling, marking, and packaging company located in Sussex, Wisconsin that specializes in food labels, beverage labels, direct response products, nutraceutical labels, household labels and custom labeling options.
Lauterbach Group has said that packaging is now more complex than ever and regulations are hard to keep up with, especially in the food labeling industry, so it has developed a system intended to eliminate any vulnerable moments for brands.
It said that the most vulnerable moments happen when the product is in the logistical stage and mobile, and with many companies not operating in-house printing capabilities, they expose products to scratches, dents, fading, peeling and other problems that might occur out of house.
The Domino N610i investment is intended to overcome such issues, allowing the company to work on 10 separate jobs at once, and to track every aspect of each job and store the information in a central database.
As well as the digital press investment, the Lauterbach Group has added a suite of services to oversee the whole label production process, from the initial sending of the visual asset to distribution.
The suite of services consists of: Information Services, which track and trace the product from start to finish; Material Solutions, where high-quality materials, a veteran workforce and top-of-the-line technology provide answers to any concerns that may arise; Supply Chain Insights, offering up-to-date knowledge on FDA regulations and food safety, chain of custody tracking and sustainability; Visual Asset Optimization, offering insights on trends and advice on appearance; and Conscience Lab, where innovation, prototyping and color management ‘protects and gives life’ to brands.
Shane Lauterbach, president of the Lauterbach Group, said: ‘In the labeling world, clients trust us with their most important asset – the representation of their company as it exists in the world. We are here to make sure their brand is never exposed to anything that can devalue it
‘We have come up with a streamline system to protect our client’s brands from start to finish.’
He added: ‘A lot can go wrong when sending your brand out of the nest. You get the wrong materials or wrong colors and your labels look peeled, faded, or inconsistent. It's a logistical nightmare to track your products through the entire process, while ensuring that everything is up to code along the way.
‘If all these touch points aren’t examined and monitored, issues like recall can be disastrous. The industry is changing, and there’s no access point that makes these considerations easy to digest and act on.’
