Melbourne printer installs first Australian Intec LPS215 digital label system

Melbourne-based Maroondah Printing has installed Australia's first LPS215 digital printing system from Intec, which encompasses an LP215 label printer, LCF215 label finishing machine and Intec RIP pod, complete with PC workstation and software required to produce on demand labels.

The system is capable of printing and finishing up to 2,000 4 x 4in labels in less than 20 minutes, while the LCF215 label finisher is capable of finishing digitally printed labels at 3m/min

Maroondah Printing has a 30-year history including production of traditional offset products for a range of customer requirements, but now feels the challenges of offset and the need to seek new opportunities. According to the company, supplying customers with flat sheet labels in the past is no longer sufficient for today's needs.

AGS, the Australian distributor of the LPS system, the system is capable of printing and finishing up to 2,000 4 x 4in labels in less than 20 minutes, while the LCF215 label finisher is capable of finishing digitally printed labels at 3m/min.
