Located in the Bologna area and founded in 1948, Mezzadri is now owned by the third generation of the Mezzadri family. The company is experiencing constant growth and is successively investing in new technology, high-quality raw materials and skilled, motivated employees.

The Grafotronic CF digital finishing machine is compact and based on the more complex DCL - Grafotronic’s fully modular converting line. The CF is built with the same components and is ‘high-end and future safe’. It can be extended at any time in the future in the customers’ facility in only eight hours.

‘Flexibility, short runs and high-quality production are the key points for our company,’ said Mauro Mezzadri, CEO. ‘That's why we chose Grafotronic as partner for finishing and we have invested in two machines in a few months.’

‘Our goal was also to increase the productivity, representing the new generation of the managing family. And with these two new Grafotronic machines we can count on their innovative automation features for non-stop production. Automatic die loading system and automatic positioning of the knives allow us to reduce change-over times to a minimum,’ Mezzadri added.

Mattias Malmqvist, vice president of Grafotronic, said: ‘As soon as the first machine came to Italy in July, the customer was so impressed by its performance, that he immediately purchased a second machine. This repeat order is very important for us and means that with our new Italian daughter company we are already on the right track!’
