Polykote installs new coater

‘Polykote was at a point where we needed to take the next step and make investments to reach our strategic goals’, said John Guzzo, CEO of Polykote. ‘Adding the new coater, the re-moisturization unit and in-line slitting increases our capacity and capabilities to the point where we can pursue new, larger opportunities with stricter tolerances than we were able to in the past.

We are also becoming more active in the industry and for the first time, joined The Association of International Metallizers, Coaters and Laminators which we feel is a perfect fit for Polykote.’

Earlier this year, a re-moisturization unit was added to the 62in coater to help with curl properties. The most recent addition has the ability for in-line slitting, which allows Polykote to eliminate the secondary operation in over 50 percent of orders processed on the new coater.
