Uteco presents Onyx XS at Labelexpo Americas 2016

Uteco North America is using Labelexpo Americas 2016 to present the Onyx XS mid web CI flexo press to label converters, with early success reported.

At Labelexpo Americas 2016, the Onyx XS is being showcased on the Uteco stand

Onyx XS is the compact version of Uteco’s Onyx range featuring flexo technology designed to optimize short runs and guarantee a higher quality printing subject standard.

Available print widths are 600mm and 1000mm, with a mechanical speed of 300m/min. In addition to conventional air drying Onyx XS can be equipped with UV lamps or an EB curing unit. Additional features include a flexible configuration, from basic single reel shaftless unwinder/rewinder to fully automatic ones, and between color dryers, which are said to be easy to remove, rotate and clean. Further, no ladders or stairs are required to access to upper decks.

At Labelexpo Americas 2016, the Onyx XS is being showcased on the Uteco stand, alongside its other printing and converting technologies, including lamination technology and the Sapphire Evo digital press.

A number of Onyx XS presses are due to be installed at converters in North America in the coming months, with some going to label converters.
