Vista Labels opts for Focus Reflex 330 flexo press

The newly installed press is a 13in wide, single color machine equipped with quick change print cassette system, die-cutting, slitting, rewinding and infra-red drying. It will be used mainly for high volume printing of polyethene pallet-wraps but is also capable of printing and converting single color and blank labels on a wide range of substrates at speeds up to 120m/min (390 ft/min).

The Reflex 330 was purchased in order to increase production capacity and improve print quality on the PE materials, where heat sensitivity is a major consideration. The infra-red drying unit is combined with forced cold air, allowing faster drying speeds, whilst the print cassette can be removed from the press in just a few seconds, allowing fast job changes.

An optional re-registration facility and semi-rotary die station are also available, effectively providing a high-speed, digital finishing system. Other options include cold foil, turn bar, delam-relam and digital inkjet systems.

Mark Allman, production manager at Vista Labels commented: ‘For a long time, we have been aware of the quality of Focus equipment and were very impressed with the production speed of the Reflex press during print trials, particularly on such a tricky substrate. We looked at other options, but in the end, it was an easy decision to purchase the Focus press.’
