Schreiner MediPharm develops smart label for medical pen

The Quanta Pen is a multi-fixed-dose injector platform designed for long-term cardiometabolic treatments, including weight-management therapies. Its no-priming design is intended to provide consistent performance across repeated injections.

Schreiner MediPharm’s precision-fit label uses an anti-slip varnish to improve grip and handling, along with a holographic effect that serves as a visible authentication feature.

An integrated NFC chip allows users to access product information, instructions and services using a smartphone. The label can also be customized with additional security, design and functional elements to suit different pharmaceutical brands and applications.

According to the companies, the combined pen and label provide pharmaceutical manufacturers with a scalable self-injection platform that supports usability, product differentiation and digital patient engagement.
