Kenyan converter installs Focus Proflex press

Nairobi, Kenya-based converter Colour Labels has installed a full UV, 8-color Proflex 250 flexo press from Focus Label Machinery.  

This is the second UV Proflex press to be installed at the company, which also operates a number of Focus central impression Centraflex presses. The new press is to be used for self-adhesive labels on a range of substrates and was purchased to further increase production capacity and to enhance compatibility and flexibility between existing presses from the UK-based manufacturer. In addition to the UV drying system, the new Proflex is also equipped with standard dryers, which combine infra-red lamps with forced cold air, allowing faster drying speeds without heat build-up. The removable print cassettes can be interchanged, or removed from the press in a few seconds, allowing very fast job changes and clean ups.
