Heidelberg and Gallus to unveil new machines at Labelexpo 2025
Two new machines address high-volume digital production demands for label converters.

Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (Heidelberg) and Gallus have confirmed they will unveil two new machines at Labelexpo Europe 2025 as the label industry faces increasing demand for shorter runs and faster turnaround times.
The new launches represent a significant expansion of the portfolio, which spans all market segments and application areas. The technologies have been specifically developed to tackle pressing industry needs, enabling label converters to scale efficiently, respond rapidly to shifting market demands and remain competitive.
'Heidelberg and Gallus's joint presence at Labelexpo underscores the strategic importance of label printing within the group,' says Dr David Schmedding, chief technology and sales officer at Heidelberg. 'As a total provider and systems integrator of both digital and conventional technologies, we are ideally positioned to address evolving market trends and meet diverse customer needs across all segments.'
The booth will feature a unified lineup of technologies and samples, including sheet-fed offset innovations for the efficient production of wet glue and in-mold labels, Heidelberg Prinect, Gallus Screeny, Gallus Services and Gallus Classics. The offerings will be underpinned by Gallus' System to Compose concept, with modular technologies designed to work seamlessly within its own ecosystem and alongside complementary partner technologies.
'Together with the continued strength of our partnership with Heidelberg and a growing network of partners and collaborators, we're looking forward to a successful event in Barcelona,' says Dario Urbinati, CEO of Gallus Group. 'The latest innovations and strategic partnerships we're unveiling at this year's event demonstrate how Gallus is steadily removing barriers to digital adoption, growth and lasting success.'
The announcements build on recent developments from Gallus, including the launch of its new Gallus MatteJet technology for the Gallus One. Developed at the Gallus Experience Center and launched earlier this year for the production of profitable, in-line digital labels with a high-end matte finish, the technology has seen strong initial market reception.
MatteJet followed previous milestone innovations such as the Gallus One and the continued evolution of the System to Compose modular platform. These launches reflect Gallus' focus on addressing customer challenges, removing barriers to digital adoption and supporting the long-term transformation of the label printing industry.
Urbinati concludes: ‘We’re really looking forward to welcoming visitors to the joint Heidelberg and Gallus booth at Labelexpo – not only to reveal our latest solutions, but to invite the industry to explore what’s possible when we solve challenges together.’
