A new high-speed, programmable cutter/stacker that processes printed hang tags and tickets twice as fast as conventional systems is now available from Avery Dennison Printer Systems. The product, called the A64CS Cutter/Stacker, features multiple detection sensors, allowing users to accommodate a variety of tag and ticket sizes and formats.

The A64CS Cutter/Stacker is designed for integration with and attachment to an Avery Dennison 6400 Series tag and label printing system. Tags or tickets are fed automatically to the A64CS from the attached printer. Utilizing a rotary knife, the A64CS automatically cuts the printed tags or tickets and neatly stacks them in a tray with a 2,400-ticket capacity. Maximum speed is 12 inches per second – twice as fast as most competing cutter/stackers.

The A64CS cutter/stacker features a built-in processor and front-panel LED display for ease of setup and operation. Four widely used tag/ticket profiles are preprogrammed into the unit’s memory. Users can enter six additional tag/ticket profiles using the control panel and store them for later use.

The A64CS cutter/stacker is equipped with flag, transmissive and reflective sensors to detect and accurately position printed tags and tickets. The sensors can detect various features such as notches, eye marks and Swiftach holes, equipping the system to handle a wide range of tag and ticket types and designs.

The sturdily built 14.7-inch-tall cutter/stacker has a 40.4 by 21.9-inch footprint. It processes tags and tickets from 1 to 6 inches in width and from 1 to 16 inches in length. The cutter/stacker attaches securely to a 6400 Series printer via an alignment plate.
