Flint intros next-gen NC-based inks
Flint Group has introduced FlexiStar MV and FlexiPrint MV, next-generation nitrocellulose-based inks that it said have been developed and optimized to meet the current and future demands of high-quality flexo printing.
The FlexiStar MV and FlexiPrint MV next-generation flexo inks offer “excellent” ink transfer with no build-up on plates, and enable long production runs without plate cleaning, Flint said.
They offer a high level of printability with clean shades, full dots and high colour strength. They are also suitable for very fine aniloxes (400 l/cm and more) for high-quality flexo printing and free of migratable monomeric plasticizers. Printers benefit from a new automatic wash system, which ensures quick job changeovers as additional manual cleaning of aniloxes during the job change is not needed, also avoiding ghosting.
Frank Rudolph, head of the technology center at Fischer & Krecke, said: ‘We are impressed with Flint Group’s next-generation inks and rate them highly specifically for future-oriented high-quality flexo printing. The ink systems allow us to work more flexibly while achieving press stability at the same time.’
