The company is demonstrating a new DC330Mini with an integrated Trojanlabel inkjet unit and a supergloss/cold foil feature, for which Uffe Nielsen, CEO, said the company received 30 leads on the first day of the show.

The integration of an inkjet unit provides users with an economic entry into digital markets, said Uffe Nielsen.

The DC330Mini can also be set up as an in-line extension to a digital label printing system, allowing the web to continue directly into the converter from the digital press. It can also be used as an off-line converting and finishing unit for jobs from other digital or conventional presses. It can even function as a press for specialized value-adding production.

An all-in-one system, the DC330Mini features varnish, semi-rotary die-cutting, slitting and dual rewind. Optional spot varnish, cold foil, lamination, in-line buffer, corona, web cleaning, back-scoring and razor slitting are also available.

Also launched at the show, GM’s SmartCoat incorporates the latest inkjet varnish technology into the company’s existing converting units. It allows ‘unlimited creativity’ in spot varnish, according to the company.

Also on display is the DC330FB combo print converting line with screen and hot foil. DC330FB has a rotating foil tower. The machine on the show floor was bought on day one of Labelexpo Americas by Israel-based converter Peerprint. The DC330FB finishing line is designed for production of high quality wine and spirits labels.

A PNTS Series semi-automatic core cutter on show was sold to Spanish converter Esagraf on day one of Labelexpo Americas. The PNTS Series provide high-precision feeding and cutting of cardboard cores at high speeds.

Visitors can also see the DC330 Hybrid conventional and laser die-cutting system with automatic job change, and world premiere of a new ‘zero waste’ system.

GM is demonstrating its versatile automatic knife box that supports both razor and shear knife, plus the largest knife magazine in the industry with 16 knives. The automatic knife box is now retrofittable on any digital finishing line.

GM’s range of automatic core cutters, sheeters and roll lifters are also on display.
