MDC Max Daetwyler AG, with corporate headquarters located in Bleienbach, Switzerland, has launched the new reduced-size (RS) series of fully automatic galvanic machines to cover all galvanic processes.

The Galvostar P RS design, based on the reconfiguration of MDC technologies, offers the same MDC quality plating results, process stability and longevity of the P series, yet satisfies the primary objective and market requirement of providing a compact, space saving, high performance machine.  By having all components located to the side of the machine for, back-to-back installations are easily achieved, conserving floor space.

The new RS series employs the same technology already used by more than 100 systems worldwide, resulting in a current transfer to the cylinder. It also prevents electrolyte contamination from carbon dust and eliminates the need for frequent carbon brush changes. The Galvostar P RS’ design allows for a range of shaft and hollow cylinders that can be used with face lengths ranging from 350mm to 1600mm and circumferences of 400mm to 1050mm.  High immersion depths of up to 80 percent ensure high plating efficiency.

A spokesman said, ‘RS production lines already delivered and installed confirm that forecasted increases in efficiency of galvanic technology and successful achievement of objectives have been clearly established. Orders for more than a dozen new machines have already been received.’
