mPrint demonstrates inkjet varnish unit

mPrint Morlock is demonstrating varnish printing on its monojet inkjet system at Labelexpo Europe 2019. Equipped with Seiko Instrument´s RC1536 recirculation series of printheads, it is suitable for jetting both white and varnish.

With a selectable print width of 108, 216 or 324mm – one to three printheads next to each other – the monojet is designed to be easily installed on existing analog press lines.

Compatible with UV including low migration inks these print bars can run at a speed of up to 75m/min at 720 DPI.

White inkjetted with the RC1536-M printhead covers a drop volume range from 13 to 150pL, allowing a high degree of opacity.

The RC1536-L jets a high viscosity varnish with a drop volume range of 25 to 225pL, allowing a high build to be achieved for a haptic effect.
