Nilpeter launches FB-3 flexo press

Nilpeter’s FB-3 flexo press has made its industry debut at Labelexpo Americas on stands 3105 and 3205. Based on a new ‘ground-up’ platform, the press handles short and long runs of self-adhesive labels, with fast job changeovers and minimum waste at speeds of up to 750 feet per minute (228 meters / minute).
Each of the ergonomically designed printing units includes five servos, which make automatic adjustments for saving, loading and changing jobs, as well as job-presetting, impression settings and side register load. A dual axis servo transport system ensures precisely registered print reproduction. Nilpeter’s Press Management Center (PMC) ensures central control over press functions, augmented by the Air Control Satellite (ACS) for wireless press operation, and Nilpeter’s Automatic Plate Positioning Systems (APPS).
Suited for either UV-cured or water-based inks, the FB-3 has been received with great enthusiasm at the stand, says the company. In demonstrations, full job changeovers of eight color stations as well as the die have been achieved in only five minutes, with as little as 25 meters start-up waste.
Options include freely positioned UV screen, and hot and cold foil printing.
