RotoMetrics debuts RD300 solid die at Labelexpo

RotoMetrics has debuted the new through-hardened, machine-finished RD300 solid die. The option is designed for cutting disposable medical substrates, dust-sensitive labels and tags, in-mold labels, synthetic gasket, Velcro, Tyvek and electronic components. The RD300 has a high chromium D2 steel grade body along with a specialized heat-treating process that provides a full-depth hardness of 58-60 Rockwell.

The company also introduced its Anodized print cylinder, positioned as an economic alternative between Standard and Hardcase grades. It offers the same precise tolerances as the Standard but has added surface protection for improved scratch resistance and protection from corrosion. New features to the Pin Eject die for advanced waste ejection applications are also being displayed. The option offers a positive method of preventing build-up of small diecut slugs, resulting in broken cavity blades, and also assists in the removal of these parts from the converted web. The Pin Eject option was designed for challenging cavity sizes as small as .0625 inches (1.6mm). Accustar Life flexible dies are also on show.
