Werosys launches Compact Hybrid

Compact Hybrid combines digital and flexo printing with in-line converting and finishing

Werosys has developed Compact Hybrid, a system that combines digital and flexo printing with in-line converting and finishing.

This includes a digital UV inkjet print module to complement the Trojan CMYK digital print engine and fully automated flexo print stations. The UV inkjet module comes in a number of configurations with up to six colors and 330mm width.

By combining the UV inkjet print engine with the fully automated flexo module and die-cutting, Werosys said: ‘We can offer a true digital hybrid solution with integrated print and finishing for one-stop label production.’

You will get a highly flexible label production system with seamless integration between digital printing and conventional press printing, thereby offering optimal production planning with fast job changeovers, reduced production costs and less waste.

In addition to Compact Hybrid, Werosys shows a number of other new products for its Compact line at Labelexpo Europe 2017, which is now compatible with automated workflow technology to create a digital finishing line with all set-up done electronically from one screen. Labels can be produced from approved artwork to finished product in a matter of minutes with the digital finishing line reading all necessary information from the PDF file, or similar, and automatically setting all stations, including the digital printer, laser die-cutting and automatic slitting. To complement its existing fully automatic slitting systems, Werosys is introducing a new automated slitting system at a low price point. During the show, fully format-free label production is demonstrated, with the combination of the digital print and laser die-cut modules.
