NYCO makes investment in flexo with Omet
Packaging producer makes significant customer-focused investment with flexo printing technologies

Clondalkin Group company NYCO Flexible Packaging has made a substantial investment in flexo technology, including a UV flexo hybrid printing system, a new printing facility and additional slitting capacity at its Kirchberg manufacturing site.
The UV flexo hybrid press, a 670mm Varyflex V2 manufactured by Italy's Omet, has undergone testing and commissioning, and has been operational since the end of July.
The new building and infrastructure for the new printing machine have also been installed and are now fully operational.
NYCO Flexible Packaging is a market leader in the production of shrink sleeves, lidding films and foils and reel fed material for the dairy, confectionery, pharmaceutical and beverage markets.
The investments in flexo represent one of the largest projects in the company’s history.
Sander Kool, NYCO sales and marketing director, said: 'Our focus is quality and flexibility which we achieve by constant innovation and investment. NYCO’s markets of food, beverage, dairy and pharmaceutical are constantly evolving and it is important for us to maintain our position of leadership.
'As a leading Swiss packaging producer, NYCO has always made investments that focus on our customers’ needs. This investment is no different and provides our customers with access to the highest quality printing technology and the flexibility that they need in their dynamic consumer markets.'
