Omet marks India installation

Omet and Weldon Celloplast, its agent in India, hosted an Open House event at the end of April to mark the installation of a Varyflex press for in-line folding carton production.
 
Over 100 delegates attended the event, staged at the Ista Hotel in Hyderabad, with representatives from the country’s packaging and label printing communities looking to see the Varyflex press installed at Pragati Pack.
 
A half-day conference programme, with presentations from Omet, Pragati and key suppliers, such as EskoArtwork, DuPont and Martin Automatic, preceded the visit to the nearby Pragati Pack facility to see the Varyflex press in action.
 
The flexo press is installed with a Martin Automatic unwind unit, cold foiling capabilities and a rotogravure station. The roll-to-sheet in-line installation also features inspection technology and rotary die cutting before printed blanks are sheeted.
