Siemens awards Goss for work on automation

- Award given in recognition of application of Siemens drive technology
- Results create opportunities for web printers formerly for sheet-fed printers
Goss was one of only five companies to be given a 2012 Siemens Customer Excellence Award, for using drive technology to automate its web presses.
The award was given in recognition of its application of Siemens drive technology, including the Simatic S7, Simotion and Sinamics control platforms, to deliver advanced automation and product performance in web presses.
The 2012 Siemens Customer Excellence Award honor OEMs or users that have made their businesses succeed through the use of Siemens technology. In addition to honoring OEMs and users, the award also recognizes the integrators and partners that have helped enable each winner to achieve their goals.

The company officially launched its new Sunday Vpak presses (pictured, top) for packaging at Drupa 2012.
Other award winners included Conoco Phillips, Fori Automation, Lockheed Martin and GT Advanced Technologies.
