TLMI announces winners of 34th annual awards

Forty-eight converters from around the globe submitted more than 250 entries for this year’s TLMI Annual Label Awards Competition. Winners were announced at the TLMI Annual Meeting held in October in Scottsdale, Arizona.

The Best of Show Award went to Vaughan, Ontario-based ASL Print FX for the company’s Red Tile Chardonnay label. The label also won first place in the flexo/letterpress-printed, color process prime Wine & Spirits category and was printed on a Gallus press. Eleven print stations were used for creating the 20 micron stochastic processed label, including multiple silkscreen and hot foil stamping stations.

A total of 80 awards were presented in this year’s competition including one Best of Show, 55 first place awards, 21 second place and three honorable mention awards. More than 10 percent of this year’s entries came from countries outside of North America including Australia, the Philippines, Scotland, Brazil, Italy and Germany.
