DeCoSystem partners with Screen for turnkey label inspection

DeCoSystem has partnered with Screen Europe to integrate its advanced Sentinel label inspection system with Truepress Label digital inkjet UV label presses at Labelexpo Europe 2025, taking place from September 16 to 19 in Barcelona.

The collaboration enables real-time defect detection and data verification, enhancing the efficiency, quality, and consistency of digital label printing. The integrated system will be presented for the first time at Screen's booth 5H55, where visitors can observe the Sentinel Platinum inspection system operating on the Truepress Label 350UV SAI S.

DeCoSystem's Sentinel range offers various inspection resolutions, depending on the printing method and the requested performance. For high-speed digital and hybrid digital/flexo systems, the Sentinel Platinum model delivers the highest level of performance, utilizing a contact image sensor and a customized lamp to ensure that high-resolution labels are accurately inspected without slowing printing speeds.

The system detects a wide range of potential defects in real time from an intuitive operator interface. For converters working in sectors that require quality assurance and full traceability, it provides high-resolution data verification by comparing scanned output directly against original PDF files, checking data accuracy, barcode and QR code readability and other variable data elements.

At the end of each production run, the Sentinel system automatically generates detailed reports that identify the type and position of any defects, enabling complete quality documentation, corrective action, and subsequent workflow optimization.

The Sentinel Platinum system can be easily integrated into Truepress Label 350UV SAI label presses, featuring compact hardware and thorough, intuitive software integration. The system also functions in combination with Screen's rewinder technology, allowing defects to be located, corrected and verified without unnecessary substrate waste.

DeCoSystem will showcase six additional inspection systems on its own booth 3G25, and six more integrated with various printing equipment providers throughout the exhibition.
