Michelman maintains EcoVadis Gold rating for third consecutive year

The company ranks in the top 95th percentile for sustainability performance.

Michelman has secured a Gold sustainability rating from EcoVadis for the third consecutive year, maintaining its position among the top-rated companies worldwide for environmental, social and governance performance.

EcoVadis assessments evaluate companies on their sustainability management systems and performance across four key themes, with ratings updated annually to reflect changing industry benchmarks and company improvements.

The 2025 rating places the Cincinnati-based specialty chemicals company in the top 95th percentile among more than 150,000 companies across 185 countries evaluated by EcoVadis using a comprehensive assessment framework covering environmental impact, labor and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement.

'Maintaining our Gold status is not simple. It is through the exemplary efforts of our global team that we maintain this ranking,' said Chuck Hardy, director of global sustainability and R&D systems at Michelman. 'As the overall performance of rated companies improves, the threshold for recognition moves as well.'

The company has implemented an ongoing internal action plan focused on advancing long-term ESG performance as competitive standards continue to rise across the evaluated company base.

'While some organizations are pausing or restating their environmental goals, we're moving forward,' stated Rick Michelman, president and CEO at Michelman. 'Our commitment to sustainability is rooted in our values. It guides our decisions, our innovations and how we work with partners across the value chain.'
