Taghleef Industries rebrands Nativia biobased film range

Film producer expands portfolio and introduces new visual identity for sustainable packaging line.

Taghleef Industries has unveiled a comprehensive rebranding of its Nativia biobased and biodegradable film range, expanding the portfolio to include new biopolymers and home compostable options 15 years after the brand's initial launch.

The expanded Nativia portfolio now encompasses four product families of biaxially oriented films, including Nativia Essential for PLA-based industrial compostable films, Nativia Premium for luxury applications, Nativia Plus featuring biopolymer blends with home compostability and Nativia Protect offering high barrier options for specialized applications.

'The rebrand represents Nativia's journey toward making sustainability the industry standard rather than the exception,' Taghleef Industries stated.

The brand has evolved from exclusively offering BOPLA films to an integrated portfolio incorporating innovative biopolymers, including PHAs. The refresh includes advanced barrier technologies designed to meet the demands of high-value applications.

The updated visual identity features an integrated leaf element within the wordmark, replacing the previous design where the leaf appeared separately above the letter 'I'. Taghleef Industries has also moved from a two-tone green design to a single, deeper green shade to communicate the brand's mature market positioning.

Originally introduced in 2010, Nativia established itself as one of the first biaxially oriented PLA film ranges in the packaging industry, setting early benchmarks for biobased content and industrial compostability.
