Toray Plastics (America) promotes two in the Torayfan polypropylene film division

Toray Plastics (America), Inc., has announced two promotions in its Torayfan division. Amanda Whaley has been promoted to the position of key accounts manager, and Tammy Williamson is now an associate product manager.

Whaley most recently served Toray as a product manager in that division, a position she had held since June 2015. She will be responsible for managing strategic accounts. Whaley joined Toray in 2012 and holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Assumption College in Worcester, Massachusetts.

Williamson most recently served the company as a sales and marketing analyst, a position she had held since August 2015. As an associate product manager she is now responsible for overseeing marketing activities for strategic products. Williamson joined Toray in 2010 and has a bachelor’s degree in business from Bryant University in Smithfield, Rhode Island.

‘Amanda has been a terrific asset to the Torayfan team, meeting customers’ OPP needs, identifying new business opportunities, and contributing to marketing strategy,’ said Christopher Voght, senior director of sales and marketing, Torayfan division, Toray Plastics (America). ‘We’re excited to grow with Amanda as she assumes her new responsibilities.’

He continued: ‘Tammy’s experience as an analyst has provided her with a solid understanding of customer and industry activity. We look forward to having Tammy serve in this new capacity.'

Toray Plastics (America), Inc., is a manufacturer of polyester, polypropylene, bio-based, and metallized films for flexible and rigid packaging, lidding, graphic, industrial, optical and electronic applications, and conducts all its manufacturing and metallizing at one location. Toray is also a manufacturer of polyolefin, polypropylene, and polyethylene foams for the automotive and flooring industries.
