Fedrigoni launches expanded Sirio Color range
The relaunch adds 15 new shades, expanding the overall palette to 42.
Fedrigoni Special Papers will relaunch Sirio Color, an uncoated colored paper range, at Luxe Pack Monaco 2026.
Born in the 1960s and with an ability to easily respond to moods, trends and branding requirements for several applications, Sirio Color offers intense colors with visual depth and character. With the revamp, the range welcomes 15 new shades, expanding the overall palette to 42. New entries such as Vivid Red, Oasis Green and Moonrise Blue have been developed with the evolving needs of the packaging world in mind, offering brands and designers an even broader palette to express identities, occasions and cultural nuances through color.
The rough version also extends from 11 to 19 shades, tapping into the market's growing demand for tactile, textured substrates. Alongside Sirio Color and Sirio Color Rough, the series includes Sirio White/White and Sirio Ultra Black, the latter made without carbon black pigments, like all the blacks of the range, and offering depth and lightfastness.
'Sirio Color has always been about much more than color: it is about giving designers and brands the freedom and confidence to express their creative vision,' said Céline Bertuzzi, marketing director, Fedrigoni Special Papers. 'With this relaunch, we are taking one of the most distinctive ranges in our portfolio into a new chapter. This is the idea behind Trust your color: choose the color that best expresses your vision, and trust Sirio Color to bring it to life.'
Among Sirio Color's defining features has always been the use of selected fibers that guarantee long-term stability, sheet cleanliness and formation quality. Lightfastness – the ability to resist fading over time – equally depends on fibers and the careful choice of dyes and pigments. Ahead of the relaunch, lightfastness has been improved and made more consistent across the entire range, alongside a meaningful step forward in sustainability. Sirio is now manufactured with renewable energy: certified biomethane replacing fossil natural gas, and electricity coming from renewable sources. This contributes to a significantly lower cradle-to-gate carbon footprint, the reduced impact being measurable and transparent thanks to dedicated Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) data, allowing customers to quantify and communicate the real environmental impact of their projects.
