The company said new technologies, such as UV printing using LED lamps or iron-doped lamps, demand inks and lacquers with trouble-free characteristics and products that fulfill the specific requirements of these curing systems even better than their predecessors.

This has resulted in the development of a new product line formulated for LED curing, and upgrades to its established NewV series. In addition, hubergroup has revised its ink series for conventional UV printing using standard UV mercury lamps. Harmonized fount concentrates are available for all of UV inks.

‘These new curing technologies make is possible to customize press technology more specifically to customers' requirements,’ said Carsten Zölzer, product manager for UV inks at hubergroup. His colleague Roland Schröder added: ‘As a printing-ink manufacturer, we can support printing houses by supplying them with inks and lacquers precisely formulated for these specialised applications.’

hubergroup has relocated its UV ink production from Lachen in Switzerland to its German plant in Kirchheim.
