With immediate effect or as existing contracts allow, BASF will increase its prices for UV resins within the Laromer product range in the EMEA region

The increase equates to 3-10 percent, depending on the product type. BASF said the price adjustments are necessary due to continued increase in raw material, as well as REACH registration costs.

UV resins are used by the coatings, printing and packaging industries to manufacture UV-curable coatings for wood, metal and plastic substrates, as well as overprint varnishes and UV-curable inks.

The Dispersions & Pigments division of BASF develops, produces and markets a range of pigments, resins, additives and polymer dispersions worldwide. These raw materials are used in formulations for coatings and paints, printing and packaging products, construction chemicals, adhesives, fiber bondings, plastics and paper, as well as for electronic applications such as displays.
