CS Labels is known mainly as being a European leader in digital labels, and operates a fleet of Xeikon presses. It is the largest digital label printer in Europe using the Belgian digital press manufacturer’s technology,

Xeikon press technology is applicable for heat transfer decoration, and is a process it regularly addresses when speaking at events, such as the Package Printing Workshop feature area at recent Labelexpo shows and its own Xeikon Café Packaging Innovations.

CS Labels is using Xeikon technology to print heat transfer labels at 14m/min and can offer a maximum imaging width of 322mm. Graphics are printed on to a clear film carrier with a unique adhesive applied. The image is then transferred to a surface or product such as glass, plastic, aluminum, pens and pencils or ceramics, using a separate applicator machine.

The digital transfers will incorporate full CMYK and a fifth white with photo realistic images, and can also provide a full wraparound image on a product.

CS Labels' growth plans have taken a number of steps forward lately, with it starting to work with independent self-adhesive label consultant Duncan Sparrow and attending Farm Business Innovation Show to directly target growth vertical markets.

CS Labels is to make a further ‘major’ announcement next week ahead of Packaging Innovations, at which it is exhibiting.
