Flexo pre-press company Heaford will exhibit a comprehensive range of platemounting technologies at Loupe Americas 2026, taking place September 15-17 at the Donald E Stephens Convention Center in Chicago.
At booth 3712, the company will feature technology built for a wide range of printing formats and levels of automation, reflecting the different needs of today's labels and flexible packaging converters. This includes fast platemounters on the market for narrow web labels, as well as flexible technologies for mid and wide web flexo-printed flexible packaging.
David Muncaster, managing director at Heaford, said: 'Converters visiting our booth at Loupe Americas 2026 will have the opportunity to see and experience mounting solutions focused on making life easier for operators and more profitable for owners in an increasing competitive market, where brand owner quality demands are higher than ever at the same time as margins are being squeezed.
'This means avoidable waste at any stage of the printing process cannot be tolerated and comes straight off the bottom line. Lost value generated in production time, wasted substrate and energy resulting from inefficient pre-press departments, and de-optimised throughput as a result of press downtime; there are production costs hiding in plain sight.
'By investing in simple-to-use, reliable, repeatable and accurate platemounting solutions, converters can minimize waste and maximize value.'
For narrow web label and mid web converters, Heaford offers the FTS range. Built using a patented design, FTS is fast and offers converters a simple-to-use, repeatable process without sacrificing accuracy. FTS is available in cylinder and sleeve configurations, supports web widths up to 1500mm (59in), and can be set up to support multiple presses using a single mounter.
For mid and wide web packaging printers, ModularMount is Heaford's scalable mounting platform. Rather than locking converters into a fixed level of automation, ModularMount allows the user to start wherever suits their current business needs, whether that's manual, semi-automatic or fully automatic, and upgrade in stages as production demands change.
This is achievable without replacing the whole system. This flexibility makes ModularMount a practical, future-proofed investment for converters navigating change in a competitive market.
Heaford's presence at Loupe Americas 2026 also reflects a wider push to strengthen its position in the US. Earlier this year, the company confirmed Danny Scales as its new sales manager for the US, bringing more than two decades of industry experience.
Scales said: 'The challenges that labels and packaging printers in the US have makes investment in equipment that does the job the way they need it done for many years to come critical, and is why Heaford is always the right choice.
'Money to invest is tight, skilled staff are in short supply and the job basket is changing.
'Simple-to-use mounting equipment that is always accurate makes the difference. Throw in the option to automate and scale platemounting, and you have a solution that can’t be beat.'
