Avery Dennison launches thinner ThinkThin products

Avery Dennison has introduced yet thinner products in its ThinkThin portfolio alongside a life cycle assessment (LCA) analysis of these products.

Avery Dennison delivers expands next generation of thin label materials that addresses the environmental issue and sustainability needs with ThinkThin Paper, ThinkThin Film, and ThinkThin Thermal.

The portfolio includes ThinkThin Paper, ThinkThin Film and ThinkThin Thermal. These thinner and lighter materials enable more labels per roll, less production downtime, less storage and transportation. They can be used in a wide variety of applications including food and beverage, pharmaceutical, health and personal care, industrial, freight and logistics applications.

Avery Dennison Greenprint is a product LCA methodology that quantifies the impact of labeling and packaging materials. Customers can assess these new products against their standard Avery Dennison labeling materials according to environmental factors consumed for fossil materials, bio-based materials, water, energy, gas emissions and solid waste generated.

Marcel Cote, strategic marketing director, and sustainability leader for labels and graphic materials in South Asia Pacific and Sub Sahara Africa, Avery Dennison, said: ‘We are responding to our customers’ needs with a broader range of thin label materials that will help to improve operational efficiencies, reduce costs and reduce waste. The new LCA analysis will quantify the positive environmental impact of each of our ThinkThin materials, to enable our customers and end users make more informed decisions.’
