Nobelus launches films for embellished labels at Labelexpo
Platinum OPP Coated Films are available in a crystal-clear gloss or non-reflective matte finish.

Nobelus, a distributor of finishing products for the luxury label and flexible packaging industry, will showcase two new films designed for embellished labels at Labelexpo Europe this year. Nobelus will exhibit at Booth 7A12.
Platinum OPP Coated Films are manufactured with a specialized coating that is highly receptive to a variety of post-laminate processes, including overprint varnish, hot and cold foiling and JetFX, among other embellishment technologies.
Available in a crystal-clear gloss or non-reflective matte finish, these films combine essential protection from grease, dirt and moisture with a striking visual appeal that helps draw the attention of consumers. Converters can creatively use embellishments to provide contrast with the film’s finish, such as applying metallic spot foiling over the flat matte film.
'We introduced these films due to increasing market demand for post laminate finishing on luxury labels,' said Jeremy Fentiman, managing director of Europe. 'Some of our customers are actually switching to using these coated films for all their gloss and matte lamination work as it gives peace of mind that the results will be superb.'
Like other films in the Nobelus portfolio, these OPP products include no adhesive layer and support reverse printing. For many label converters, this means moving from self-wound laminates to wet lamination.
These Platinum OPP Coated Gloss/Matt Films are part of the Nobelus Essentials Collection.
'Label converters who make the swap to wet lamination tell us they’ve seen significant savings as their material costs go down,' said Ryan Chai, Nobelus strategic accounts solutions specialist. 'Combine those savings with increased margins from higher value, beautifully embellished labels, and we expect converters will see an impressive ROI with these coated films.'
