S-OneLP launches recycled content pouch film
New metallized web targets stand-up pouch converters running HP Indigo presses.
S-OneLP has launched a 3.5mil Metallized PCR 36 percent Stand Up Pouch Web, engineered as a drop-in replacement for conventional 4mil metallized structures.
The film, which contains 36 percent post-consumer recycled content produced through advanced chemical recycling, eliminates common PCR challenges such as gels, surface inconsistency and poor curl control.
During trials on HP Indigo 20K, 25K and 200K digital presses across seven sites in North America, it ran without disruption and matched the performance of conventional metallized films.
'Our product development team has worked intensively on our PCR film, which resulted in successful trials across seven sites in North America,' said Andrew Kalina, director of sales at S-OneLP. 'The result is a smooth laminate surface, superior curl control and reliable performance.'
The company said the film requires no process changes and integrates into existing workflows. It is compatible with thermal lamination and designed for upscale stand-up pouch applications, offering barrier properties that preserve product quality.
