I.D. Images has been awarded certification for TLMI’s Label Initiative for the Environment (LIFE) project. LIFE is a scorecard to assist TLMI members in evaluating and improving their environmental performance.

The scorecard has four categories for evaluating and improving one’s environmental performance. These include clean production techniques, energy and greenhouse gases, product design and management practices. The scorecard is designed to ensure rigor in the performance standard and is modeled after the Sustainability Packaging Coalition (SPC) guidelines. The verification process is derived from other industry standards and management systems, such as ISO 14001.

‘TLMI needs to be commended for their leadership position in building awareness and challenging our Industry to make improvements in environmental responsibility,’ said Tammy Bivins, production manager at I.D. Images. ‘Project LIFE is a great mechanism to share best practices and elevate our involvement to the next level, as we have experienced significant improvements as a result.’

I.D. Images, founded in 1995, is a manufacturer of converted label media for the Variable Information Printing (VIP) market.
