The use of cutting, foiling or embossing dies – as well as all the related cylinders, anvils, pressure units, slitters and gauges – is a complex process using a wide range of precision engineered tooling. Careful pressure settings and adjustments are important for success as well as correct choice of cutting angles and cutting profiles, and attention to all aspects of handling and storage.

Get all of this correct and it is hoped that the highest quality performance and optimal results will be consistently achieved. Yet problems can still occur.
