Yoshida, currently managing director of Konica Minolta Business Solutions Malaysia, will join Konica Minolta Business Solutions Asia as managing director. He will replace Osafumi Kawamura, who will return to Japan and take on a new assignment in Konica Minolta (KM).

In his new role, Yoshida will oversee the expansion of KM’s portfolio across 14 markets, including the domestic Singapore market and national sales offices across the Asia region such as Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Sri Lanka and Indonesia to support the company’s digital transformation initiatives.

Yoshida is a KM veteran with close to 30 years of experience, having started his career with the company in 1991. He brings a vast of global experience, having led various sales and marketing divisions in Asia, United States and Oceania through his 12-year international stint.

‘Throughout my career with Konica Minolta, the only constant has been change. I am pleased to take on the role of managing director of Konica Minolta Business Solutions Asia and am excited for the future of potential growth in the SEA region,' said Yoshida, commenting on his appointment.

‘With businesses increasingly becoming digital-focused, there is much room for growth in the SEA region. With the recent opening of CEC APAC, we believe the print industry is here to stay, but we must continue to innovate with our technologies and digital solutions. Our goal is to continue serving our clients with the same customer-centric experiences they have come to expect from Konica Minolta while driving digital transformation to serve them better.’

Coming in at a challenging time for the industry, Yoshida will focus on digital transformation through KM’s technological offering including Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and Smart Monitoring while continuing to strengthen its core business with the upcoming launch of AccurioPress C4080 Series and AccurioJet KM-1e.

‘The upcoming launches of AccurioPress C4080 Series and AccurioJet KM-1e signal our continued investment into the production and industrial print market and brings further improvements to an already established product line-up. As a business solutions provider, we will continue to provide new solutions that cater to the needs of our clients. We look forward to serving the APAC region in the coming years,’ Yoshida concluded.
