Domino is hosting a ‘Digital Printing Spectrum 2016’ open house that will feature tabletop exhibitors, educational presentations from industry leaders, a facility tour and equipment demonstrations.

The open house will be May 4 and 5 at Domino’s North America headquarters in Gurnee, Illinois. It’s a one-day event that is duplicated over two days so attendees can choose which day they prefer to attend. Registration is free.

The event will feature three Q&A panel discussions with finishing partners, substrate and material providers, and label printers and converters. Moderators will guide the Q&A, and attendees will hear about the latest innovations, technology, and process improvements to help their business save time and money.

The panel discussion with substrate and material providers will be moderated by Jay Kaible, director of membership and business development of the Flexographic Technical Association will focus on ‘how are substrates and materials changing to accommodate digital printing?’

The label printer and converter panel will be moderated by Dan Muenzer, vice president for Constantia and TLMI chairman. It will discuss ‘The Digital Debate’ and explore why some label printers have invested in digital printing while others have not.

A panel on finishing will be moderated by Steve Katz, editor of Label & Narrow Web, and will focus on ‘the impact of digital printing on finishing.’

Tabletop exhibits include 38 companies representing the full spectrum of products and services in label printing including industry associations, cameras and inspection systems, coatings, die makers, finishing, material handling, media, press manufacturers, software, substrates and materials, and UV curing.

Participants also will have the opportunity to see the Domino N610i 7-color digital UV inkjet label press and Domino K600i digital UV ink jet printer.
