A B Graphic recently hosted an open house at its Bridlington head office and manufacturing facility during which they unveiled a new strategic direction.

The intent was to display the latest developments in ABG’s finishing technology, provide insights on strategic direction and present the organization's latest digital offering, ABG Connect - its newest workflow connectivity product.

The program included an introduction to ABG’s new manufacturing facility at Kelleythorpe Industrial Estate, near Driffield, East Yorkshire.

Throughout the busy schedule, guests enjoyed a variety of engaging partner presentations from Cerm, Mercian Labels, Maan Engineering and Actega. A factory tour and demonstrations of ABG’s automated finishing technology were also on display.

Matt Burton, ABG’s global sales director, commented: 'In the commercial print arena automation is paramount; however, in the labels and packaging space, we are in the early days of the automation transformation. ABG is ahead of the market in terms of having products available to facilitate this change such as ABG Connect.'

The event highlighted a range of finishing equipment, including a Digicon Series 3 - beverage specification, featuring Ecoleaf and traditional embellishment capabilities, a DigiLase 4.0 with emphasis on laser die-cutting, fleyevision, a Digicon Lite 3 and non-stop winding technology with an Omega Converter 530.

Additionally, guests received a preview of ABG’s latest turret rewinders, which are set to launch at Labelexpo Europe in September 2023.

Later in the day, guests visited ABG’s new turret rewinder manufacturing facility in Kelleythorpe, near its Bridlington headquarters. The site will be ready for phased occupancy shortly.

The move will expand ABG’s in-house engineering capabilities, free up space in the company’s existing site near Carnaby to manufacture Digicon systems and decrease lead times.
