Inland Label awarded Best in Show by PLGA

Inland Label, a converter based in La Crosse, Wisconsin, received top honors at the Packaging & Label Gravure Association’s Global Print Quality Awards by bringing home Best in Show for its injection in-molded Kiss cup label. The cup label features an injection in-mold label that showcases Inland’s ability to print mirror-like metallic inks on IML labels.

Mark Glendenning, Inland’s CEO, was in attendance to accept the award. ‘It’s a testament to our people – internal as well as our supplier partners,’ he said. ‘I’m pleased to see that our ongoing investments in people, process and equipment allow us to produce labels that others in our industry appreciate and recognize for their print excellence.’

In addition to the Kiss cup, which took first place in the In-Mold film label category as well as the Best in Show award, Inland also received an Honorable Mention in the Glue Applied Label category for its Molson Export Ale label.

‘We are extremely proud of our winning entries,’ said Jackie Kuehlmann, marketing manager for Inland Label. ‘Our customers continue to allow us the opportunity to create labels that push the envelope in terms of visual appeal and innovative techniques. We’d like to congratulate our customers whose labels have received recognition from the PLGA.’

The Global Print Quality Awards recognizes member printers and converters for outstanding achievement in gravure printing. The awards ceremony was held in conjunction with the PLGA Annual Operational Conference held in Miami, Florida.
