CS Labels grows finishing capabilities to assist further growth

Digital printer CS Labels has installed over 750,000 GBP (937,328 USD) worth of finishing equipment in order to offer even more added value to its printed label offering.

The investment includes a Grafisk Maskinfabrik in-line hot foiling press

The investment includes a Grafisk Maskinfabrik in-line hot foiling press, which also allows the opportunity to provide embossing and spot varnishing, to offer extra embellishment capabilities to client label projects. An Ashe Opal rewind unit has been installed to increase CS Labels’ rewind capacity and provide even faster lead times to customers.

The finishing machine is designed to work mainly with high-end luxury brands, many of which are switching to digital print due to its personalization, short run capability and high quality print. CS Labels has seen an increased demand from health and beauty, drinks, such as wine and gin, and gifts sectors as the digital market continues to accelerate at a fast pace.

CS Labels managing director Simon Smith said: ‘We have proven time and time again that adding value to digital labels through creativity and innovation can be the key element that has a direct effect on sales of that brand. Our existing capabilities continue to serve us well, from traditional hot foil stamping, to Color-Logic metallic special effect substrates, all the way through to using layered digital inks to offer an innovative way of embossing; we’ve always been able to think outside of the box when it comes to staying competitive at the luxury end of the market.

‘The addition of this machine was a result of increased demand. We particularly like the way the hot foil capability is extremely accurate and that it can also work with a clear material; the end finish is simply stunning.’
