Kumar Labels invests in finishing equipment

Weldon Celloplast has completed installation of a Brotech FS330 machine with Luster inspection system at Kumar Labels’ factory in Noida.

Brotech FS330 is a label slitter rewinder that can inspect variable data with the Luster inspection system at a speed of about 150m/min.

Anuj Bhargava, founder and CEO at Kumar Labels, said: ‘While the training is ongoing, we hope the equipment will increase our inspection capabilities and efficiencies soon.’

Ramon Lee, managing director at Brotech, said: ‘We see India as an attractive market, where companies are making heavy investments. Brotech has an installation base of about 50 machines in the country. We are delighted that Kumar Labels chose Brotech slitting and rewinding technology for its operations.’

Frank Li, printing international business head at Luster, added: ‘The Indian market is huge and booming. We want to work together with Weldon Celloplast to capture market share.’

Kanwardeep Sahni, director, Weldon Celloplast, said: ‘We have taken both these agencies recently and are elated with the industry response these products have received. Both Brotech and Luster will help printers improve efficiencies, reduce wastage and be more profitable. We aim to sell 5-10 Brotech machines with Luster inspection cameras this year.’
