The DF350SR can apply a UV varnish or laminate the labels for added protection. It has seen significant upgrades to both its mechanics and software recently and now offers an increased maximum production speed of 65m/min (213 ft/min). This, coupled with the ability to remove the 22in magnetic die cylinder and replace it with our standard full rotary dies allows the die-cutting of labels to a maximum speed of 175m/min (575 ft/min) in the register.

‘Thank you for the outstanding advice and service received in the purchase of our new machine,’ commented Trevor Voisey, founder of Lemon Labels. ‘As you know, this is our third Daco machine, we knew to expect a top-quality, well thought out and reliable machine, but were still blown away by some of the features of this model.

‘The DF350SR is the perfect next step for us, alongside our existing DTD250 machines this will not only allow us to increase capacity to deal with our growing demand. The DF350SR gives us the flexibility to offer in house label tinting by using a Rotometrics tinting kit, varnishing and single-color print with the UV flexo station, previously we had to outsource this requirement with varying degrees of success.

‘The Semi-Rotary running mode also allows us to die cut to registration and finish short to medium run digitally printed label work produced on our dry toner digital label printer.’

Daco Solution’s sales manager, Mark Laurence added: ‘It’s great to receive another order from Lemon Labels. Its first machine was a Daco DTD250, purchased a few years ago when Lemon started to produce labels in house rather than brokering them, with a second machine ordered shortly after that.

‘After several conversations with Trevor regarding the production of short-run labels for the growing market for blank labels for the desktop inkjet and toner-based systems, we recommended the Daco DF350SR. With only die plates to purchase as the machine uses just one magnetic die cylinder, it enables Lemon Labels to produce short runs cost effectively with the added benefit of back marks if required by utilization of the flexo and coating unit.’
