Temptime installs VCML Pilot Coating machine from RK Print

On-site installation and training was carried out by RK’s project manager Darren Ellis.

For R&D of time-temperature indicators for the medical market, the VCML has been manufactured to include RK’s new registration system and consists of an electronic loadcell tension control, direct gravure coating and RK-designed hot air impingement dryers. Rotary screen and corona treatment are due to be added later in the year. 

RK PrintCoat Instruments, based in the UK, designs and manufactures pilot printing/coating technology and color communication devices. These systems can be used for quality control purposes, for determining process/product feasibility as well as commercial viability and for the small-scale production of complex materials and products.
