Gascogne Laminates and Smith & McLaurin have joined forces to create a distribution partnership in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

Colin Gault, managing director of Smith & McLaurin (SMCL), said: ‘To meet the increasing market demand for recycling, reusing and sustainability, SMCL introduced a range of environmentally friendly solutions in 2005. In addition to our full range of commodity products and this highly popular eco-range, this partnership with Gascogne Laminates will now enable us to offer a wider range of synthetic face materials (clear-on-clear, silver films, HP Indigo coated films), adhesives (opaque, microsphere, direct food contact) and other specialty products.’

Philippe Castets, managing director of Gascogne Laminates Switzerland, explained: ‘We have been working hard to ensure an unbeatable quality of service around our range of standard products; we continue to develop tailor-made solutions and specialty products, which are our core business. Today this distribution partnership with SMCL in the UK and Irish markets is another step forward and it will not be the last one.’

Each company brings to the table its own set of unique capabilities. For SMCL, working with Gascogne Laminates offers it the added ability to provide label converters in the UK & Republic of Ireland with a wider choice of specialty products and competitive service for standard products. For Gascogne Laminates, SMCL’s extensive range of environmentally products, as well as a highly experienced UK & Ireland based customer service and sales team, is an added bonus.
